The Journey until we went live....

It had been a challenging three months for Rang De. The journey was rough at times but brought about great satisfaction. Through the course of these few months, Rang De has grown slowly and steadily crossing all hurdles. This would have been impossible without motivation and support from friends. Friends of Rang De, continue to inspire us and help us keep our chin up even when things did not look that great.

Since RangDe.Org went live on 26th January 2008 at 16.48 hours.....

Rang De is an innovative attempt to make low cost microcredit a reality by enabling individuals to lend small sums of money. What is unique about Rang De in comparison to online lending platforms elsewhere in the world is Rang De promises its borrowers that funds will be raised in 30 days. We have been able to do this with a surplus of funds in the first round where 16 borrowers with a requirement of Rs 5000 each have received their loans successfully. Now the second group of borrowers are on board.

The four most unique features of Rang De are:

• Mission to drive down interest rates and make microcredit accessible and affordable to all(Our current interest rate is 8.5%).
